We collect minimal data necessary to provide our service:

  • Email address (for account creation)
  • Password (securely hashed)
  • Breathing session history (patterns used, duration)
  • Payment information (processed securely by Lemon Squeezy)
  • Anonymous usage analytics (page views, button clicks) collected via Umami, a cookieless, privacy-focused analytics tool that does not collect personal data

Your data is used to:

  • Provide and improve our breathing exercises
  • Track your session history and streaks
  • Process one-time payments for Pro access
  • Send important service updates (rarely)

Google User Data

What Google User Data We Access

Calm Before Calls accesses limited Google user data only after you explicitly sign in and grant permission. Through Google Sign-In we access:

  • OpenID identifier to authenticate you and link your Google account to your Calm Before Calls account
  • Email address to identify your account and support login and session management
  • Basic profile information (name and profile photo, if provided by Google) to personalize the signed-in experience

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, we also access:

  • Calendar events including event title, start time, end time, and related scheduling details to identify upcoming meetings and prompt you to begin a breathing exercise before a call
  • The ability to create calendar events on your behalf when you schedule breathing reminders directly from the app

How We Use Google User Data

We use Google Sign-In data to authenticate you, create and maintain your session, identify your Calm Before Calls account, and personalize your experience. We use Google Calendar data to identify your upcoming meetings, show relevant upcoming calls inside the app, prompt you to complete a breathing exercise before a meeting, and create calendar events when you schedule reminders. We do not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or selling data.

Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure of Google User Data

Calm Before Calls does not sell, share, transfer, or disclose Google user data to any third parties. Google user data is used only internally to provide the app's functionality to you. We do not provide Google user data to data brokers, advertisers, marketing platforms, or any other unrelated third parties. We may disclose information only if required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or when necessary to protect the security, rights, or integrity of Calm Before Calls, our users, or the public.

Google User Data Retention and Deletion

Google Sign-In information (email address and basic profile) is retained while you maintain an active Calm Before Calls account. Google Calendar data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the upcoming-meetings and breathing reminder features. You can request deletion of your account and all associated Google user data at any time. You can also revoke Calm Before Calls' access through your Google account permissions at any time. Once access is revoked or an account deletion request is processed, associated Google user data is deleted within a commercially reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

Calm Before Calls' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
